The new Audi S4
The new Audi S4 is the newest in line to carry the coveted Audi “S” emblem. Externally, the new Audi S4 features new aprons, aluminium-look wing mirrors, 18-inch alloys, a rear spoiler and quadruple exhaust as standard. Internally, this is complimented by black with aluminium alloys (carbon, stainless steel or wood inlay alternatives are available), sports seats and steering wheel, and instrumentation with striking grey dials and white needles.
Perhaps the most noticeable feature of both the Saloon and Avant estate models is the new supercharged 328bhp 3.0-litre petrol engine, accelerating the saloon from 0-62mph in a breathtaking and impressive 5.1 secs. There is a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, but this can be upgraded to the seven-speed Audi S tronic semi-automatic gearbox. However, the cars also turn in an equally impressive set of fuel consumption figures - 29.1mpg for the saloon, while the Avant estate achieves 28.5mpg – that's 26% more than the outgoing S4 models.
