Power in performance. The 4.2-litre FSI engine is capable of developing an impressive 420PS and a maximum 8,250 rpm. But the Audi R8 doesn’t rest on the laurels of a superb engine alone. To enable the driver to get the most from their drive, there’s a lightweight aluminium crankcase, spontaneous R tronic automated 6-speed gearbox and Audi’s optional ‘Magnetic Ride’ – a technlogically advanced adaptive damping system which adjusts the chassis setup according to either the road conditions or your own unique style of driving.

Two different types of gearbox are available for the Audi R8 the standard mechanical six-speed manual gearbox and the optionally available R tronic sequential manual gearbox.
