The 'Coastline' is the newest variation of  the Audi Q7 V12 TDI Quattro,  the world's most powerful - yet safest ever - diesel-powered passenger car and making the leap from one-off concept to fully fledged production model.

With a highly-efficient, 493bhp 6.0-litre V12 turbo-diesel engine, capable of 0-62mph in 5.5 seconds, and a top speed of 155mph, the Coastline has been designed reminiscent of a classic, luxury ocean-going yacht.

Externally, the car is finished in Inuit - a special ultra-luminous white, featuring a striking new front design with unique chrome-plated grill, 20-inch alloy wheels and LED daytime running lights.

The nautical theme continues inside, with luxurious Verano leather and carbon fibre inlays. The dark, waxed American walnut veneer, covering parts of the armrest, the inner door sill trims, the gear knob and, most strikingly, the floor of the luggage compartment, lends further weight to the yachting feel.

White, alabaser colour-matching is evident throughout - from the instrument panel, controls and seat belts, to the plush velvet and leather upholstered seats, roof lining and carpeting.

While offering plenty of power and a complete style statement, Audi Coastline is nevertheless capable of returning an efficient 23.7mpg and meeting the proposed EU5 emission targets due to take effect from 2010.
