The Audi A3 convertible performance

Most of the acclaimed TFSI petrol and TDI diesel engines that power the A3 and A3 Sportback are carried over to the new A3 convertible, including the 160PS 1.8 TFSI, 200PS 2.0 TFSI, 105PS 1.9 TDI and 140 PS 2.0 TDI with common rail piezo fuel injection. These are combined with either a five or six-speed manual gearbox, or the option, for all models bar the 1.9 TDI, of the sporty S tronic twin-clutch transmission.

Each of the engines, with the exception of the 1.9 TDI, is available with the option of a 6-speed manual transmission or the acclaimed 6-speed semi-automatic S tronic gearbox. The 1.9 TDI is only available with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
